Raise your paddles in support of river conservation and education at CU Maurice River's fourth annual Raise The River Paddle-A-Thon.
The third and fourth legs of this year's paddle-a-thon are tours of the wild and scenic Down Jersey Pinelands, The first paddle will take place on Muskee Creek to Historic Bricksboro with a stop at 11 am for a Riverside Potluck lunch. Paddling will continue from Bricksboro along the Manumuskin River. Pull out at a riverside homestead at 4 pm to enjoy the scenic view.
CU Maurice River staff will coordinate transportation for kayakers between put-in and pull-out points. Paddlers can choose to paddle one or both legs.
All paddlers must bring their boats, paddles, life jackets and tow rope. If a bilge pump is available to you, bring that as well. Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet or dirty. Drinking water, a snack and use of sunscreen and insect repellent are recommended.
