Supporting Digital Equity in Cumberland County
January 31, 2024Comcast is proud of our longstanding commitment to Cumberland County, New Jersey, which includes support for nonprofit partners like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cumberland County.
Most recently, the Comcast Foundation supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cumberland County through a combined $30,000 grant in 2023 for digital literacy programming at its two sites – the Carl Arther Recreation Center and Youth for Change Center in Vineland. In December, Comcast also donated 25 laptops and Kano computer coding kits to be used by students in the Clubs’ computer lab and an additional $2,000 donation directed by Jitendra Patel, a senior engineer at Comcast Corporation and one of our local 2023 Internet Essentials Ambassadors of the Year.
