• WheatonArts and Rowan University Present Glass Art For Military Wellness

WheatonArts and Rowan University's George Family Center For Healing Arts present Glass Art For Military Wellness, free workshops for veterans and active-duty military.  Veterans and active-duty military members are invited to participate in free glass art workshops that include glassblowing, fusing, stained glass and painting.  This unique program blends the art of glassmaking with mental health awareness to build a supportive and creative environment.

Participants get the opportunity to showcase their creations and share their journeys in a final exhibition.  Local Veterans Affairs representatives will be available to provide resources and answer questions at each session.

    The classes available are:

Weekend Glassblowing Workshop -- May 10 and 11, 10 am-4 pm.  Registration closes May 3

Introduction to Glass Fusing: Glass Panels and Plates -- June 28 and 29, 10 am-2 pm. Registration closes June 21

Introduction To Stained Glass -- July 12 and 13, 9 am-3:30 pm. Registration closes July 5

    Glass Paint Pour & Fuse -- August 2 and 3, 11 am-2 pm. Registration closes July 26

Veterans and active-duty military can register at WheatonArts » Explore, Experience, Create. Space is limited so participants should register only for workshops they can commit to attending.  If plans change, notify Pamela at pweichmann@wheatonarts.org one to two weeks in advance to release your seat.

Join WheatonArts and the George Family Center for Healing at Rowan University for this transformative opportunity to create and connect through glass art.
